Hey ladies!
I just wanted to share the answers to a few questions I get a lot from clients considering booking a session. Please feel free to come to me with any more questions you may have. Will you keep my images private? ABSOLUTELY! The only images I share are ones that I have permission to post. I do offer discounts for signed model releases, though if you'd like to let me post. Where do sessions take place? Because I don't have a dedicated studio space, I have a home studio setup that I often use. I also use friend's homes, hotel rooms, and other photographers' studios occasionally. If there's a space that you feel would be perfect for a shoot, let me know! I love finding new places to shoot! Do you provide outfits? I do have a very small collection of pieces I plan to inventory soon and post to allow ladies to borrow them for sessions. For sanitary reasons, I cannot provide panties, however most pieces would go great with simple black panties or a thong. What do I wear? Anything that makes you feel sexy! A fun dress, cute sweater, your favorite bra and panty set, or of course traditional lingerie. Bring your man's jacket, or shirt if you want. Have fun picking out what helps you to feel the best and feel free to ask me for guidance! Do you provide digital files? Yes, I do. I recently switched my pricing model and I don't have a digital only pricing package anymore. I did this because I don't want women to have a session and receive their files and then just let them sit on their computers. I feel that having something like an album to refer back to is super important. If you're feeling less than confident one day, you can flip through your album and remind yourself what a gorgeous, strong woman you are!

I want to share my top ten fun facts you should know when considering whether a boudoir session is right for you.
He may get a gift, but really it's for youMost women who schedule a session with me are planning a gift for their significant other, which is great! They will love it, promise! But, many women are surprised that they leave the session feeling beautiful, confident, and excited to see their finished images. I will respect your privacy I love sharing my work, because I LOVE what I do! However, I totally understand that some women may not be comfortable with sharing some or all of their images. All of the beautiful ladies whose images I post have given me permission to do so. I have so many other gorgeous images I wish I could share, but can't. It sucks, but I get it! You don't need to lose weight before your session This is probably the biggest reason women give me for not wanting to book. I promise you are beautiful the way you are. I spend so much time studying posing, lighting, and photography techniques to emphasize and highlight what you love about your body, which in turn will help minimize things you haven't fallen in love with yet. I want to capture who YOU are Expensive lingerie is wonderful, but definitely not a necessity for a session. I want your images to reflect you as a person. Not a frilly, lacy panty person? Then bring in a favorite tee and some sneakers! Some of those favorite images I told you I can't share? They're of stunning women looking sexy in t shirts, because that's what she was comfortable in! Leather jackets, fun dresses, your man's clothes, anything goes! I might be able to photoshop that out, but I probably won't So, I get asked a LOT about my retouching policies. Basically, I don't. I don't edit out stretch marks, freckles, scars, or anything permanent on your body. I do sometimes fade scratches and will remove bruises and temporary marks on the skin. I don't "nip/tuck" anything. Like I said, I pose you intentionally to minimize features you don't love yet. Everyone's nervous! I sincerely hope you're not nervous by the end of your shoot, but I fully expect it when you walk in! We'll work together to conquer those fears. Don't ever hesitate to let me know how you're feeling throughout your session. I want you to enjoy it! Sometimes posing is weird So, I am intentional in my posing direction, but I try not to "over coach" you. Often, I will give a general direction and then tweak your interpretation of it. What you are comfortable with is always going to come across better on camera. That said, arching your back, popping your hip, pointing your toes and some of the directions I give may not feel great by the end of your session. Just let me know if you need a break! You may feel super awesome about yourself after your shoot Seriously, this is a huge surprise for many women. Even the ones who schedule their shoot for themselves. It can be a big shock to see yourself looking like a model, since we often let ourselves listen to negative self talk. Be prepared to adore yourself! This is for everyone! No matter your age or body type, you are beautiful and should be loved, respected and adored by yourself! Hey ladies!
I just want to share a few of my tips to help you prepare for your session. 1) Try to avoid tanning for 5 days prior to the shoot, to avoid blotchy skin or burns. I know we all want that healthy glow, but your natural skin will look absolutely beautiful. I guarantee it. 2) Have your fingernails/toenails manicured, or diy them, if possible. This is a detail that gets overlooked often, but can make a big difference! 3) Have body hair groomed, shave legs. 4) Avoid tight fitting clothing in the hours leading up to your session, as it can cause lines and marks on the skin. 5) Don't forget to bring shoes, jewelry, and any accessories you'd like to use in your shoot. |
